Introduction

Xuemin Hu received his B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and his Ph.D. degree in Signal and Information Processing from Wuhan University in 2007 and in 2012, respectively. He was a visiting scholar in the University of Rhode Island, Kingston, RI, US from November 2015 to May 2016. He is now a lecturer in School of Computer Science and Information Engineering, Hubei University, Wuhan, China. His areas of interest include image processing, computer vision, machine learning, motion\path planning, autonomous driving, and intelligent systems.

Dr. Hu hosted and participated in a number of research projects which were from national and Hubei government departments, some universities and enterprises. He has established cooperation relations with Wuhan University, Sun Yat-Sen University, and many new high-tech enterprises in Wuhan. In addition, he established a platform of exchange and cooperation for joint training of graduate students with Sun Yat-Sen University, and is leading the team to conduct researches on unmanned vehicles and video monitoring.

In recent years, Dr.Hu published more and 20 research papers in some international and domestic journals and conferences, most of which are indexed by SCI or EI. Moreover, he set up a platform of autonomous driving with Dr. Chen in Sun Yat-Sen University who owns four unmanned vehicles for researches.
